Se ha desarrollado una estrategia de aleación en el sitio B con estroncio (Sr²⁺) que fortalece la red metal-haluro de las perovskitas de banda ancha, suprimiendo la distorsión octaédrica y el acoplamiento electrón-fonón para mitigar la migración iónica y la segregación de fases. Los investigadores demostraron que las células solares tándem de perovskita/silicio completamente texturizadas (3–5 µm) que incorporan esta aleación alcanzan una eficiencia del 31.66% y una estabilidad operativa excepcional, con una vida útil proyectada T₈₀ de aproximadamente 6785 horas bajo iluminación continua de 1 sol en aire. Para su investigación en sistemas geotérmicos de agua de mina, este avance es relevante porque demuestra cómo la ingeniería de aleaciones a nivel de red cristalina puede mejorar drásticamente la durabilidad de los materiales fotovoltaicos, un principio transferible al diseño de intercambiadores de calor y componentes de bombas de calor que deben resistir condiciones térmicas y químicas agresivas en entornos post-minería.
