A Digital Crystal Ball for Cognitive Decline
A new study investigates whether a multi-day learning curve, derived from remote digital cognitive tests over one week, can add prognostic value to the established plasma biomarker p-tau217 for predicting cognitive decline in cognitively unimpaired older adults. The research, involving 183 participants, found that adding the digital learning metric significantly improved the explanation of longitudinal cognitive trajectories beyond the biomarker alone.
